Miss Eudena Carol Houston, a stewardess with Eastern Airlines, died at noon Sunday in Culver Hospital, where she had been a patient since Dec. 21. A daughter of Paul N. and Beulah Coffing Houston, she was born here Sept. 24, 1939 and was a 1957 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. She attended Indiana University and was a stewardess for Purdue Airlines from August 1958 until September 1960. Miss Houston joined Eastern Airlines in January 1961 and was graduated from that organization's stewardess training school, receiving her wings in March 1961. She was based at New Orleans until September 1964 when she was transferred to Washington International Airport until November. She came to her parents' home Dec. 16. Surviving are the parents; three brothers, Paul N. Jr., Donald E. and Lawrence L. of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Wayne E. Kessler of this city; grandfather, T. C. Coffing of Crawfordsville; grandmother, Mrs. Inez Cain of Lafayette; 12 nieces and nephews, six uncles and five aunts. A niece preceded her in death. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bright Funeral Home, where friends may call. Rev. Darrell E. Luther will officiate, and interment will be in Masonic Cemetery.
